Moonlight serenade
Comments (21)Oh Cait, I loved that story. I was waiting for some creature like Golum to come slithering out! ( or some mention of "slugs from the hood" ) Lol I can understand the satisfaction of stepping on those nasties! I remember feeling that a long time ago with cockroaches. UGH.. So glad to have moved from that place! Slugs.. shiver.... once my DH called me outside to show me something, I went, only to step barefoot on a slug, it squashed up in between my toes. That is what he called me out to see "the biggest slug he ever saw" !! Now that moon was something to see. I love yours and Sandy's photos! I was driving to work looking at that moon too. But I had a nervous feeling about it as I knew it would make my patients crazy.. and it did ! What a weekend that was! I snapped a photo of the moon in October, while sitting at my computer reading this forum!! ( I just opened the window and from my chair snapped this : That orb in the sky is sure a thing to behold! Cheers! Lori...See MoreSunrise and Moon-set
Comments (4)So far (including the burst we just had - half an inch), June and July is about 12 inches! I mow the yard every third day! Good grief! Two years ago, I didn't mow for 7 weeks! That moon, from the past couple of nights, I was able to see only in short periods. Darned clouds! The temps are expected to be 15 degrees cooler for the next 6 days. Sooooo good! Comments (1)Good shots. We had a thunderstorm new years right at midnight. I looked out the window on my back door and saw a light in the sky so I opened the door and looked out and it was the moon. That was so weird....See MoreJournal 10 August 2017
Comments (7)Yes, it's been a long time. He had such a hard time at the beginning of school, but he's really hit his stride. I can't imagine him off at university, and I totally can. He's really in another world, far outside of mine, even within mine. The man I spoke of, the bioinformatician I talked about? He works with me. Obama's staff tried hard to get him to head up the new Precision Medicine initiative, but he stayed at my employers. He's really good. But, the point? He and LF (who is inches taller than I am, and just passed me up in weight. NOT little) were talking about directions for university, and they were talking about actual computer science language and writing equations on my white erase board that looks like total Greek to me. LF stood toe to toe with him and added to the conversation. He's gonna do well. I was floored. And proud. Despite all he's been through, he'll be more than all right....See Morekentuck_8b
