Ron, I used a Raynox 250 (around $40 from bugeyedigital.com). It clips right on to the lens of my Panasonic Lumix FZ5.

Raynox also makes a 150, which is easier to use. (Less magnification but more depth of field.)

I've never heard of them before but I discovered one of these in garden...Creepy....Nice photos though!
