I think I'd say the best time has passed. If by "plugs" you mean 2.5" nursery pots, or smaller, even if you potted them up today, they probably wouldn't mature enough to survive the first winter in an above-the-ground unheated hoop house. In another thread you mentioned you are in a recently upgraded zone 6. You would have to have well established plants, hardy to zone 3, to survive a zone 5 winter, even with the protection of the hoop house. Your best bet is to buy your plugs next spring, and pot them up to pot-in-socket in ground installations, with plans to tend them for at least a full year before selling them. Pot-in-socket, inside a hoop house or cold frame would work for most ornamental grasses. Actually, your best bet would be to provide at least some heat to the hoop house. Electric cables or warm water plumbing in the ground would do a world of good.

First you need to crop it to 8X10 aspect ratio in a graphics editor if not already done so, dpi at least 250 preferably 300. You need photoshop or a graphics editor program to do it. Photoshop has a crop tool, when I did it in Paint Shop Pro, I had to use direct proportions to calculate it myself which was a several-step, hit and miss way to do it but got the job done. I use a professional photo finisher in South St. Paul, but you have to do a lot to sign up with them. For one photo, I'd try to get it sized as above, save in .jpg format, burn it onto a cd, and take it to your local camera store or Walgreens and ask for the Fuji Crystal Archive matte paper which is nicer than the cheaper stuff. If you need more help, I will try. If you can upload the photo somewhere on the web, I can download it and check it for you, and if necessary, crop it for you, usually a little USM (unsharp mask) which makes it sharper helps. Actually, you don't have to crop it, but if you don't their machine will crop it for you, which might work out ok, might not. I like to control how my finished photos are cropped myself. The image size for the 8X10 prints I send out is 3000 pixels by 2400 pixels with either a 4mp camera or 8mp camera.

Thanks for those comments about burlap, nanny and justgotta. I will abandon burlap for linen, if necessary. We were going to use the same avocado green as the swivel chairs in the other room and that will comprise two of three pillows on each daybed. BUT, I have changed gears with the stair runner and am now using a heavy duty sisal (not wool) in a beautiful green the same color as the avocado fabric. I am thinking that, even for me, this might constitute green overkill. So my other choices are the paisley--- which has a light background, and I want this corner table to really anchor the beds, iykwim, or the tartan, or something else entirely that looks good also with the GOLD mattresses. Any suggestions? In the interest of time I am having the table and roman cover made locally, so I am On My Own for the fabric unless I use the Hines tartan. ID is coming in the second weekend of June for the install. The week before that I have a retreat for non-profit arts board members, and the weekend before that a family wedding in Florida. So, basically, a week and a half to finish this all up. I am starting to feel like those crazy people working against the clock on HGTV..... You know, the ones who redecorate a house while the owners are out to dinner, lol?

Missy, tell your DD to look at the Gorsuch catalog online, it is a European catalog with jacket styles that are cut along the same lines and are gorgeous with slim trousers. It will def give her some recycling ideas! It takes a while for what's edgy in urban areas to become even acceptable in other regions. Keeping her choices fresh in terms of fabrics and length but not necessarily pushing the envelope on shoes / accessories is a good middle road for conservative work places or areas. She can always use some of the separates with fun heels in another setting. Whenever I see someone wearing a "stylish" outfit completely unsuited for her body type / age / coloring (like short, stubby legs in bootees) I am reminded again that style is about finding what looks good on oneself. The range of choices narrows so much as we age and the weight in our bodies is redistributed, it makes sense to have as much fun as possible with style when you are young! I guess the compensations of age are that we can afford better quality in terms of fabric and cut in our clothing.
