Just a little bragging

Logged in to my Picasa account for the first time this week and discovered a slew of e-mails/comments from all over about the pics I have stored there on-line. Turns out Team Picasa had made one of my pics a featured photo.

From Sunrise 1-12-09

So, then I had to figure out where they posted such. Ha.

Many of the comments in foreign languages reminds that this little web thingy can get around. ;)

About campanula's question, oh yes, I think so. It's called biophilia, the love of living things, and tends not to limit itself just to plants. Sorry, nope, west is pointing straight at the camera, you're look straight east. North is left. Plus, we sit on a ridge, so it gets cold. Last year when it got really cold I had 5 heaters going (had plastic up to cut it down to 16' x 8') and still lost a few plants. I guess I'm going to splurge and buy a big propane heater like Tom has... I just hate spending that kind of money to heat a greenhouse. Thanks Kevin... NO WAY am I growing 5000, I've got my preliminary count at 3800 and I'm trying to get it under 3000... And nope, not a compost pile. we had a big maple behind the house, it had a diameter of around 4-5', but the last few years of drought took it's toll and it died, that's some of it's remains. I had the guys leave some of the chips for me to use as mulch... :-( I'd rather have the tree. Pam

Thank you, All. When Maddie has gone to Petsmart with her Mom (and 7 yr old sister), she often sees Halo there with rescues for adoption. I guess she's talked to the people there. Maddie is always wanting to learn about stuff, especially animals. (We call her "Webster" as she just inhales knowledge on all kinds of subjects. She loves Discovery channel. And books.) I'm sure her Mom will take her back there to visit the animals and give them attention. (their small shelter, not Petsmart). My daughter has two big dogs, a Lab and an Akita, but they can't have a cat with them. However the girls come here to see mine. (Plus Jason's wife has 2 cats and three dogs). So we all love animals, tho I am bit over the top about it. LOL. hugs, Karen

Well, now Auntie Teresa is bragging not a little but a lot! I just had some of the G three sauce, served WARM, on a piece of steak and I have to say, with pride, he has nailed his mom's recipe! I'll be very honest with you that I had my doubts the sauce could taste as good as the original recipe, but it was delicious and just as I remembered. The secret to this sauce is warming it before serving with the meat or as I did, have it in a little pitcher to serve. Either simmer a large amount in a saucepan on the stove or grill, or gently warm it in the microwave for a short period of time. At the very bottom of the directions, it does say "Serve Hot." Thanks. Of course, such things are all relative. When it came in on my Picasa linked e-mail the first thing I had to do was go find where they post such things. Ha.

But, I think most of us picture takers will take whatever "ohs" and "ahs" they can get. It was fun to get comments from literally around the globe on pics throughout my picasa albums once the featuring got people to looking.
