hey linda...thanks...first game..shot almost 300 pics (way to many) but got the chance to shoot in natural light..low light..and artifical light..learned some about how to adjust settings to still get a decent pic.
The guys in black are both my boys..#20 is a senior..rushed for almost 100 yards in three quarters...#3 is a sophmore...3 sacks, 2 pressures, and lead team in tackles.....yea, I'm a proud dad!!

Pulled pork BBQ beef Little Smokies in bbq sauce Guacamole Salsas Onion dip Mexican Pizza - On a large flat platter or pizza pan layer 1 large can refried beans, 3 or 4 mashed avocados, chopped green onions, small can of green chilies, some taco sauce or salsa, chopped olives, chopped tomatoes and cover the whole thing with 8 oz. of shredded cheddar. Serve with tortilla chips. Most guys like foods that familiar and simple. Sweet mixed with salt and too many veggie ingredients are snack killers.

Joann, the coach and some players, the QB being one, have a five game suspension for selling memoribilia and Tressel knowing about it. Now there are some allegations of players and family members getting deals on cars from a local dealership and that the coaching staff was aware of the deals. A big no-no according to NCAA rules.

I used to be a football fan but now there's such a distaste in my mouth from the spoiled brats, including the owners and the league, that I've lost most if not all of my interest. The state shut down for lack of putting together a budget that could balance but there sits the (multi-billionaire) team owner with his tin cup on capitol steps begging for money and it looks like the idiots are going to give it to him! Un-freaking-believable! But this isn't the first. The spoiled brats at the University had a great stadium but when the dome went up, oh, those poor babies couldn't be expected to play outdoors! that's inhumane! You can't treat children like that! So they gave in and moved to the dome, and tore down the stadium. After a few years, the poor babies couldn't be expected to play indoors! They need a (new) open stadium! And that wasn't enough. Tax'em Tim (yes, the guv who brought toll roads to MN) was afraid some of the spoiled brats might leave the state so he shoved a tax down onto a county to pay for a baseball stadium, because those poor babies couldn't be expected to play in a dome! At least he's humiliating himself now playing presidential candidate. AFAIC, go Twins... and take the Vikings with you. I've had enough of all of you. We don't need you in the state. I have a new thing called "television" and can watch games without you here.

John, I think I wold like that; a smaller crop if it means bigger lemons. I think I mentioned this before, but I know a dragon fruit farmer and he once insisted to me that the appeal behind meyers is that they are different. However, after just *looking* at these meyers over the weekend, I was floored. My mom is a professional cake decorator and she sometimes candies lemon slices for her lemon poppy desserts- she would have loved these. Laura, are you here? You're awfully quiet for an active citrus discussion (ha ha, wink!). My question is regarding these damn ants.. have you ever seen them on any of your container citrus? My lemon tree is in the ground, but it is the ONLY tree which attracts any pests here in my yard. Since you have so many potted citrus varieties, I'm curious to whether these ants are attracted mainly to lemons, or is it all citrus (I know the name is citrus aphid, but you never know).

So what kind of camera do you have and what kind of zoom? They are great pictures. I take pics of my gradnson and the daylight is so much better but a little harder under lights.
I have a Cannon Xti with Cannon 70mm-300mm zoom. It takes nice pictures but it depends on the lighting in the field. It is all night game in Western MN. I use the shutter priority but have to cut it down quite a bit and really don't get the good clear pics that I want sometimes but...........it'll do. Some fields are better than others and I stay up in the stands when I take them.
Keep up the good work and take as many as you can. It is really fun!!!
I also have a daughter who barrel races and have gotten some great pics of her.

Hi june...I use a Nikon d40x with a 55-200 zoom...this game was a scrimmage set up for a local charity, just lucky it was an early game....next Tuesday our team will play in something called Hootens Kickoff Classic (a big deal for our little school)...also an early game...after that, I will be at the mercy of the lights.
Shooting from the sidelines is much better for pics, but I didn't get into the game like I would have from the stands..thats a hard trade off :-)
My daughter used to barrel race, gave that up to perform with the Rodeo of the Ozarks Rounders....a drill team that performs at local rodeos and promotes the Rodeo of the Ozarks..she really enjoys being a part of that orginization.
I have my camera with me most of the time...I have taken some really weird pics....like last night a frog was in the window of my shop eating bugs...so he got his picture made....I have several pics of this little bird, begging for attention, while sitting proudly atop a pile of horse apples...its a stupid subject, but a funny picture!! So I agree with you...it is really fun!!

My daughter is 52 and still barrel races and grandson was play softball this summer.
