Mother and Brood

Centruroides vittatus aka Strip Backed Scorpion.

Considered non-poisonous but can carry a painful sting, most often like a red wasp or strong bee sting.

Few people are ever bitten here. I know more people who have been bitten by killer bees. Yellow jackets and red wasps sting more people, and of course fireants go without mention.

Pretty cool pic....i didn't realize they carried them around like that...I'd be keeping my distance....Thanks for sharing...
