I would file a written complaint with the county health department. I'd probably make sure to get a signed statement acknowledging their receipt of it. Here's some info for you on how to handle things. (OSSF stands for On Site Sewage Facility.) This info was taken from the Texas Commission On Environmental Quality. Complaints regarding malfunctioning OSSFs need to be filed with the local permitting authority. If the local permitting authority is not resolving the complaint in a timely fashion, notify the permitting authority's supervising authority (county judge, county commissioner, mayor, aldermen, boards, water program manager, etc.). I've tried several products but the one that's my present favorite sanding tool is "Checi Professional 404, Coarse". Bought one of those things with the razor blade and that didn't work at all, plus it scared me. Big mistake, horrible product. What did work better than anything else I've tried was Esteemia Callus Away. Bought it at CVS. I apply the thick liquid with a q-tip and have a damp washcloth ready to rinse off. Then you use the emory board that comes with it to rub the callus skin away. I found the same emory board in a larger size at the drug store, it's for nails but looks exactly like the one they provide. I could not believe the results and in just a few minutes. For moisturizer I like the roll-on cracked heel balm. Easy to apply because you don't have to your your hands. Can someone tell me WHY WE EVEN HAVE THIS PROBLEM WITH OUR FEET!! I never had this when I was in my 20s. Is this part of getting old??? Yet another PITA I have to deal with. lol

The placement of the DW is what was giving me problems in this layout. The BEST location would be to have the sink in the peninsula, with DW on the end and trash on the other side. Gives better storage along the perimeter wall, too. BUT, then I lose the nice work space on the peninsula, and the pretty view during clean-up. Plus, I would have the clean-up sink facing the DR, which seems like a bad idea. I thought about putting a dish hutch sideways (facing the DR) against the pantry wall, with the DW underneath, but I was afraid that wouldn't leave enough landing space next to the sink. What if I eliminate the trash susan and use a peninsula cab (access from the DR under the overhang) for seldom-used items, move the trash into the peninsula, and scoot the sink down to the corner? Since I'm not using a farm sink, there shouldn't be clearance problems. That would give me space for the DW and a 12" cab, and would add landing space on that side. Not too worried about the refrigerator landing space. I suppose I could extend the peninsula so that the opening to the kitchen is 48" (and gain a little extra space in the peninsula to boot), but I was thinking that the 60" opening would help prevent a bottleneck when someone is standing in front of the refrigerator and someone else is trying to get through.

My Agave americanan mediopicta alba had this last year. Edema occurs when the roots of the plant are absorbing moisture from the soil but the leaves stomata are closed (due to the weather conditions and the plant being covered reducing photosynthesis) and the plant is unable to transpire at the normal rate. The internal water pressure builds up to the point that the bottom of the leaf surface ruptures and creates “water-soaked blisters” these lesions then turn into the yellow/brown “scab-like” areas. From the San Marcos folks…”We likely compounded the situation by covering our crops of Agave 'Joe Hoak' with frost protection cloth (Agryl fabric) the nights after the rain because of frosts warning associated with the tail end of the storm. This would have trapped moisture around the plants and also limited transpiration the following day when the plants were left covered.” (San Marcos) Santa Barbara's Pest Control Advisor Robert Muraoka wrote an article on this phenomenon… “The symptoms begin as small water soaked blisters which continue to swell, burst, collapse and then turn tan or brown in color. This is not a fatal disease but the damage is unsightly. Although the blemishes on the leaves are permanent, new foliage will be free of the disease, unless the same environmental conditions that caused the disorder are repeated.”
