Uh-oh, this takes me back to flowers. It's unavoidable! Maybe I can find a yellow insect, too.

Within the time we had them before RRD struck (less than 2 years), our Julia Childs didn't fade a whole lot here in NC. They were always a shade of yellow, identifiably yellow, never merely yellowish or creamy white. In cool weather, that yellow was intense, like butter. I have a picture that I took of Julia Child with an exceptionally early blooming Debutante (beautiful pink) camellia in November. Julia wasn't picked on the first day that she should have come in--but one or two days late, and then it took me a couple of days to get around to taking its picture in the vase. Anyway, it was a nice buttery yellow when I took the picture and the vase of the butter yellow Julia Child and the pink Debutante looked good for at least five days. It was noticeably more faded at the end of its time in the vase, but still looked like a yellow rose. Rise 'N' Shine fades really badly and really quickly, at least in hot weather. (We haven't had it in cool weather yet.) That's in the landscape. But if you notice that a bunch have just opened, you can cut them and bring them inside for a flower arrangement. They stay pretty close to perfectly the same bright yellow once inside in the air conditioning and they make nice little miniature additions to an arrangement. To the extent that we've seen Ghislaine de Feligonde blooming (not much), it fades quickly but is still attractive as a creamy small rose. Best wishes, Mary

probably a nutrient deficiency ==>>> maybe.. probably if resin says so ... but why dont you go back and harvest some scion and have it grafted.. and find out ... if you cant do it.. i am sure we can find someone who will do it for you .. in my uneducated thinking [i mean, really now.. i am not a dr of dna .. lol] ... i always wonder.. if the soil is so deficient... why the tree didnt fail as a babe ... when it was a seedling ???? .. i wonder about all kinds of weird things.. lol ... ken

Here at SoCal costal location I have been unable to get your Delicious to set a single fruit. In comparison Sophie's Choice was early and very prolific. I thought Stupice was the cat's meow until I tried Sophie's Choice. Per tomatofest.com: "An heirloom from Edmonton, Canada and introduced by Carolyn Male in 1997. Considered to be the "best choice" for an extra early tomato. This is the earliest variety to ripen for me. Strong disease resistant short determinate (24") produces an abundance of 8 to 10 oz. globes. fruit is a red-orange outside and deep red inside. Best production in cooler climates."

Watch the weather channel *pay attention* when they talk about dew points. (It's science, not magic.) dew point /ˈd(y)o͞o ˌpoint/ noun the atmospheric temperature (varying according to pressure and humidity) below which water droplets begin to condense and dew can form. (If the dew point is not reached -- no condensation forms. --- The more humidity in the air, the more condensation potential there is. In Houston area an air conditioner can produce upwards of 5 gal of condensate an hour. If an air conditioner can produce that amount of condensate waste water... there is the potential for rain (more or less) in your problem home.) How do you *NOT* reach dew point temp inside your home? shut the air conditioner off. But it will be too hot. Yeah no kidding... Anyone can do 'air conditioning' but that doesn't mean they should... (the difference from right and wrong) Now that you know what wrong looks like what will you do?

Love those tulips. Were massed tulips invented for cameras or cameras invented for massed tulips? ha.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. I love taking pictures and I take alot of them. I have a Nikon D60 and I love it. I have it for a year now and I took over 10 thousand pictures.(YEP they are all on my puter) I promise I won't put them all here.. I did happen to find another yellow that I thought was pretty neat.
