Photo Printer for Home Use

Posted by naturenut5 (My Page) on

Hi there....just found this group and am wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions. I'm looking for a printer to do photos at home. Mostly for Christmas tree ornaments, so it won't get a lot of use.

Has anyone here found a printer that's considered better than the rest? :)

There are several nice printers out there. I personally like Epson printers. They are generally less expensive than other brands and I've had three and all have been great for photos. I use them for mainly enlargements.

I like HP's Photosmart with vivera ink. The photo images have a long image life if printed on acid free paper or photo paper.

Text printed on acid free papers are good for achival purposes.
