kodak z700

I have a Kodak Z700, and I love it. But following some rough travel treatment, it won't come on and stay on anymore. In fact, when I turn it to "auto," the white Kodak screen comes on for a second, then dies, leaving only a blinking red light to indicate it's alive at all. I use lithium batteries that have plenty of charge left. My smart card has never been replaced, but the "internal memory" and "smart card memory" are usually the same.

Is it time to put the camera to pasture?

Not sure if it's time to put out to pasture...but I would try some other batteries 1st before I retired it...if you take a lot of pics (i'm sure you probably know this) lithium batteries don't last long...IMO for deductive reasoning and peace of mind that's what I'd do....Sorry couldn't be more helpful!
