kayjones, I don't know if this will help, but I did an online search for your error and found your users's manual. It says for you to format the media[your memory stick] (pgs 50 and 51). Caution: if you format it, you will lose everything on it. I have a DSC-H2...maybe someone else has your model and can be more helpful. Pam

Hi Linda, I'm not sure I'm going to be much help, but here goes. The 2240 x 1493 is an appropriate size for images coming out of your camera. You wouldn't want to change them to 640 x 480 in the camera because you wouldn't be able to print them at that resolution. So the question becomes whether or not Photobucket automatically resizes them upon uploading. I wasn't aware that they ever did this, but they must have if you remember uploading without resizing. I keep a folder on my desktop of resized photos for emailing and uploading to Photobucket and Flickr. I've never tried to upload a full-size file. However, it's easy to resize photos that are already on Photobucket. Just click on Edit (right above the image), then Resize, and follow the instructions. There's a preset 640 x 480 that you can use if you like. Hope this helps. Susan

Hi there Carla. When I saw this topic, I couldn't believe how up my alley this question was. For the last five years, I've been working in selling cameras while going to school. Our store stresses superior product knowledge and I pride myself in keeping up to date on the camera market. Basically, I'm familiar with about 90% of the non-professional cameras on the market. Anyways, sorry for tooting my own horn there. The Yashica T4 is an excellent camera (I own one!). Lore hit the nail on the head in that it's all in the Zeiss lens. The T4 Super Date should run you around $200, about half of it's value being in the lens. The only other P/S camera that might come close to it is the Olympus Stylus Epic (make sure it's the one with NO zoom, and an f/2.8 lens). We did a side by side comparison of the two when the Olympus first came out and we couldn't really tell the difference. You may also want to consider upping your price range to get yourself an SLR camera. While spending more money doesn't GUARANTEE you better pictures, SLRs do tend to do a better job than P/S's. Lastly, Consumer Reports is probably one of the worst places to do research on cameras (though they did rate the T4 #1 for like 4 years straight). The problem is that they rate a small sampling of the cameras on the market and definately miss out on many models, both good and bad. Second, they rate cameras every 2-3 years, while in those off years, just reprint an old report with the updated models and just assuming that the new models are EXACTLY like the old ones. Good places to look are in photo magazines, though they don't "rate" as much as they just list them all and describe them. You kinda have to dig to find the actual tests they do. I'll try to dig up some URLs for you. I hope that helped for now... :)

Hi Pam...The best thing to do it get on to the Camera reviews and look up all the good and no so good things about the cameras you are interested in. Camera Reviews. Go try them all out, feel them to see what is comfortable in your hand. Iam a Canon Fan I have two of their Dig Cameras and a 35mm one..My first dig camera was the Canon A70 and I loved it and still use it my other is a SLR its a 8 mp... Cameras are a personal choice you really have to buy what you want...I found with the Olympus I was not happy with the way I held it and using my daughters one I would often find that the top of my finger was always in the pic, so I then looked for other brands and settled on the Canon because that bulge where the four batteries go was terrific for me to hold the camera It just felt more secure with my arthritic hands. And yes look for one with more Optical Zoom, my dig zoom is always off to get the dig zoom look all you do is crop your pics...About batteries just remember the bigger the mps the more power you are going to use ..My A70 3.2mp camera uses four AA NiMH rechargeable batteries when new I used to get about 250 pics as the LCD Monitor was on all the time, as the batteries got older I got less...My 8 mp camera uses a lithium battery (rechargeable) and I get over 1000 shots, if the camera manufacturer recommends one of them then its the best for that model remember the more mps your camera has the more power you need, with my SLR camera even the IS on my lens uses lots of power. I get beautiful clear pics from my 3.2 mp camera you dont need big mps for a good pic you only need them if you want to print big pics and as Tony said smaller mps are fine if you want to take 6x4 pics..I have had some of mine enlarged to the next size with my smaller camera and they were still clear..And just remember the pic is only as good as the person behind the camera and if you cannot hold a camera steady it does not matter how much it costs or how big it is..Hope this helps...Cheers..MM.
