They like our woodlands.I see lots of them.My Black Swallowtails started to Emerge late in June,and I noticed that also the females were bigger than the Males. I am loving the forum Picts.I was a 35mm photographer.I had a Minolta.I have some old slides of snakes,lizards,and some butterflies.I have lots of Slides I would really like to get converted over since some of them are Family pictures.I would like to get one of these new cameras now... Minrose, thanks for posting! I was wondering what it could be???? I am just now seeing more PLs in my gardens since this spring but have never raised any either! I had a lot of AL cats on a couple of native weeds that grew in my BF garden that had volunteered & then when they had eaten all of the "weeds", they moved to a small Silver Brocade artemesia I had but I think it is gone now...it didn't like our Texas summer heat! I didn't bring the AL cats in because I didn't have any more food for them! I would love to raise PLs but I haven't found a good host plant so far! I currently have a nice cardoon growing but so far it has been ignored. What host plants are in your area??? Again, glad it eclosed for you! Take care, Lila

When my kids were small, and when we'd have their friends with us, I'd take a polaroid and a complete description of them with us when we'd go places. It was helpful once when we misplaced a kid at Disneyland (found him moments later). It's too bad that we have a need for such things as a child/adult ID kit, but it's better to be safe than sorry.

Jasdip, some of the sites describing the procedure including Urologic Surgeons of Washington say something about what he may have experienced = "Bruising, sometime very dramatic, that is in the xxx (I'm leaving this body part out, clearly you weren't photographing that or you'd be in trouble ;)) or tracks around the flank is extremely common, and rarely of any concern", I don't find where they describe why. Your hubby's almost looks like it has fingerprints along the bruise. My brother had a rough 2 or 3 days (after feeling on top of the world the next morning when he was released) in Feb....rough time with whatever the gas is that is used to inflate the abdomen. I wonder if it couldn't end up different places in different bodies...and all he could do was wait until it was dispersed, by his body absorbing and then exhaling it. Hope this isn't too much information, but he likened it to pain of bloated and constipated, when in fact he had to wait to breathe the gas out. The bruise, combined with not feeling as well as the day before, must have been frightening. I hope he's doing better today. You too ...
