Are Viewer programmes that come with

digital cameras really necessary for

transferring pics to the computer?.

Can I just let the computer's internal

Viewer do the work?

Just wondering if there's a safety issue

or if it's just more junk taking up space.

I hope others will chime in here, too, but I find that it's just a matter of personal preference. You don't have to use the program that came with your camera. Your computer's viewer is fine if it provides all the features you need. There are some free ones online as well. I like Irfanview and it can be downloaded from online. For online editing there is Picnik and Picasa. Hope this helps.

You have a nice house with curb appeal. Your job is to make the house look like something people want to buy, and I think you need to work on making it seem more spacious. People buy space when they buy a house. Wallpaper makes a room look smaller, and I could not believe how true this was till we removed our wallpaper in a redecorating job. The rooms looked so much bigger without wallpaper. I also think you should go neutral with the paint when you repaint the walls and use the same wall colors in rooms that look into each other (dining room, hall and living room, maybe kitchen too). Using the same wall color this way also makes the place look bigger. The other thing that makes your living room look small is the large sectional that you have there. This too large, over stuffed furniture in small rooms only makes the rooms look even smaller than they are. You are selling space, so work to make the house look more spacious.

I was confused on that at first too. Pfmastin is correct in saying you can use your computers viewer. Though-I too use Irfanview, it has basic editing and you can add more free and or buy compatible plugins if you want more editing options.

besides the transfer and editing...it serves another purpose. Firmware updates.

This software will serve as the gateway between the camera/flash/lens and any software updates that company release. Check your camera's firmware date and compare it to the latest one available from the company. If it is out of date I suggest installing and updating.
