Lori, very easy. They are latex molds; re-usable. Because you are actually pouring the mixture into the mold which is upside down (head first), it will come out like one whole rock, not flat like my angel is. It wasn't a sand cast project. The mold comes with a back up and you sit the latex in that to hold it upside so you can fill it. To make sure it would not tip over until the cement set, I put the mold in the back up, over the top opening of an unused flower pot. Done the next day. You just slip the latex off. You can search 'rock mold' or 'rock face' mold on eBay. I purchased the mold.

Neat faces, Jeanne, and way to go on posting all of them together!! I've bought some of the molds from a gal who has a huge website and makes all kinds. I have a fairy face I need to paint, she's peaking thru leaves. The gal had some examples painted (she's good!) and I asked her for some tips. She uses regular exterior house paint, and doesn't even seal it she said. WOW, I never would have thought of that. Plus she gets it from the ooops bin at HD or Lowes. She also told me she uses brushes, sponges, and sometimes just her finger to blend colors. She gave me all sorts of tips and ideas thank goodness. I always need help. LOL. hugs, Karen

To answer you original question "Succulents dying, how can I save them?". The quick answer - you won't save them. Throw them away. If you really are interested in growing healthy plants, you have lots of work to do. It's a great hobby, but you can't go into it blindly. I will try and keep this as simple as I can, please don't take offense: - You should not be growing these plants until you have done at least a modicum of research, unless your intention is to only have them as temporary, short-lived decorative plants. These plants were doomed from the start. Poor pot selection, poor soil mix, inadequate light, inadequate air movement, inadequate temperature range, and an owner with a lack of information. I partially blame the retailer for selling an attractive but terribly ineffective mini-garden. - Succulents ARE NOT houseplants. They will not be healthy indoors without significant effort. What you may think are "healthy" plants are instead plants that are tolerant of abuse which can only put up with so much before they start to go downhill. Most succulents need fresh air and sunshine for at least a few months a year. Indoors year-round they are essentially being tortured. -"gnats" are fruit flies. They feed off of organics in the soil, like decomposing peat. Peat is probably the single worst ingredient for growing pot plants. -We have all been in the same position. We have all killed plants in the beginning. What defines success, IMO, is how you take it from there. /rant

Is that the chiseled look? If so, I'm sorry to say I usually only like those outdoors. But, that is not to say in a lake cottage with the distressed alder wood it won't look great.
