Have Atlas (I believe it's Atlas) Coleus and Persian Shield and Tradescantia pallida (wikipedia says it's normally called a purple wandering jew plant) cuttings for trade. Is anyone interested? I'm in Austin Texas (zone 8b I believe) so if you want to trade anything that would work in my zone i'd love to try having a green garden :) I also have a Zebra Cactus aloe plant but I havn't figured out how to do cuttings and propagate these yet so it might not be the best for you to ask for, unless a simple cut and mail to you to grow would suffice. Those I havn't figured out yet. Thanks!

Just the mentilon of sparklers makes me shudder. I was a little girl when a little piece of a burning sparkler flew off and imbedded itself in my finger.....where it continued to burn until Dad could put me out. The piece burned into the flesh creating a problem that didn't go away once the fire was out.....we had to visit the ER. Now that I think about it, I can't remember the last time I saw anyone with one of those things. Sparklers cause more accidents than any other type firework....they're simply not safe. Even if kept away from kids, they aren't safe.

A common problem, a number of names for a plant, but for now, it is K. x houghtonii 'Pink Butterflies'. The point of my note is simply that Randy Story was able to grow many offspring from his K. 'Pink Butterflies' bulbils (which he sent to me) and that some matured and are now producing pink bulbils. It is too early to tell whether normal (green) bulbils will develop on this cultivar. Never give up unless you have mush and rot...nothing clean hard and white. Sparkler died for me, and I had two Wheee's. One is going gangbusters and one is on life support. Depends on so many variables. If you want to try Sparkler, go for it. I didn't. The Wheee's I've seen are worth another try. So many hostas, so many decisions. I'm on my 4th GE (Great Expectations). Go after the ones that give you JOY when you look at them. -Babka
