I always repot any plant I get. It serves two purposes... First, it gives me a chance to look at the roots. Sometimes, they're rootbound like the one's you got, and sometimes they're greatly overpotted. In either case, it gives me the opportunity to decide if it needs a bigger/smaller pot and to look to see if the roots are healthy. Second, I want my plants in my own mix because I'm accustomed to how my mix dries out. I don't grow the other two, but Haworthias do fine on a windowsill, east is ideal. They don't need a lot of light to be happy. Anytime you water plants, you should water until it comes out the drainage holes and dump the excess water. Light watering (or misting) can be hard on the roots as only the top part of the roots get watered. If you want to avoid getting water on the plant, use one of those ear irrigation bulbs you can buy at a drugstore. I use one of those to water plants that are so tightly packed in the pot that it's hard to pour water without getting it everywhere. Good luck with your new babies! Denise in Omaha

I didn't mention that the message above was sent from a library near I-75, near London, KY. Being from London, Ontario, I'd gone in there on the same trip, three years ago, wanting to send some messages ... and, thinking that I was in a library, asked to use computer, and for internet access, to be met with some substantial reservations ... ... until I realized that things didn't look right for a library, and, when I asked if it were, was told that, no, ... it was a bank. So I dug out a one-Dollar and a two-Dollar Canadian coin from my pocket ... which they found interesting, as they'd never seen them. The library in London is not now operational ... they have a lovely, spacious new County Library near London. This is on Sunday afternoon, after the conclusion of the Korea Missionaries' Reunion. I enjoyed the gathering, what little of it I attended - mentioned some aspects elsewhere, earlier (regarding plans for Sunday, I think). Now off to visit my niece and family in Gainesville, GA.
