| Close in what way? This one has tons of features and the same general look of an SLR (and it takes fabulous pictures), but you're not going to be able to change lenses, for one thing. |

| Nikon, Canon and Olympus make digital models that resemble the film versions with tons of goodies like changeable lenses Etc. You can easily get a camera with high resolution, way above the 6 or 8 megapixel of the new guys on the block. I use a Nikon 300 but there are many other choices available. |
