| So sorry I didn't get back to you all on the question about the Alaska picture! I just never seem to have time these days to follow-up on anything. Yes, it's Alaska. The photo was taken on a cruise of Glacier Bay. Truly one of the most amazing places I have ever been. It's a national park and a national treasure. Like the Grand Canyon, knowing about it from pictures and really knowing what it looks like in person are such different things that it's hard to describe. I honestly had no idea it would be so spectacular and beautiful. The full day at Glacier Bay made the entire trip worthwhile and we've talked about trying to figure out how to afford another visit! In the early morning when we entered the mouth of the bay it was solid fog/mist and you could only see small icebergs. But about 9am the fog started to lift - you can still see some of it in the photo - and we 'discovered' the surrounding mountains. Breathtaking. Kate |
