Weekly Photo progression

I just installed this rock wall along my driveway. I thought it might be fun to post a pic once a week. The first photos are the blank slate.The rockery is planted with seed, so it maybe slow going at first. I will post a new pic every Monday.

The tee post fence is temporary. Will need a more stout fence for the pigs next year.

Thank you everyone.. The floor is concrete stamping and hardwood around that. When my dh built the house himself and no his isn't a builder. I met him when the house was just finishing up. He actually instead of flowing the hardwood through the kitchen in his mind it was here is the kitchen let's outline it.. LOL He laid tile in it. But due to the fact we are a concrete company - he decided last year the broken tile had ton come up. Beleive me I begged for the hardwood to go throughout. But then we decided what the heck let's try the stamp able overlay in the kitchen. Kinda a testi..we always do stamp able overlays on slabs, lets test it on plywood. Its held uo good for the past year. Iam just tickled pink I got to paint the cabinets and do my thing. Again thank you everyone fornyour kind words. Carol

glass back splash is up ... progress photo

I didn't price it out. I knew I wanted tempered glass backsplash. To give you an idea I have 175 linear inches of backsplash and total cost installed was approximately a bit under 600.00 (my contractor knew him) . My walls are not perfectly flat and had bits of old drywall damage from removal of old backsplash square beige tiles with flowers in baskets. I didn't save any ;) The installer was experienced with commercial and resiadential installs so I trusted him. He made some snap cuts on site similar to the score and snap of porcelain tiles. The outlet holes were cut out in his shop. He didn't template ; he wrote down measurements. The thickness is approx less than a quarter of an inch. The glass was back painted white in his shop. The edges are sealed with silicone. The seam that I requested for the stove piece is very tiny with minimal silicone. He initially offered to fabricate one long glass piece. after our discussion about issues that he has seen or repaired, I decided to make that one section for the stove . replacing one section is easier than the entire long single piece. hth

Your garden is looking great Esther, rain at the right times does wonders. When you first posted your mystery plant I knew it looked like an Orchid. It is Epipactis helleborine, I had just never seen such a nice specimen. Unfortunately it is considered invasive in some areas, spreading by seed. The ones that start here are usually a single stalk and they do not return the following year. Boy this forum is hopping and I am trying to get caught up!

When I ordered cover crop seed from Peaceful Valley, they through in free seed. It's different flower seed mixes.
Butterfly Garden mix
Hollyhocks
Lupine, perennial
Lupine, Russel
Pacific Northwest wildflower mix
Poppy, California Golden

Hey everyone,

I installed the post for my new fence. Doing so, I trashed most of the flower starts. When I designed the fence layout, I thought it would be safe to plant. I should have waited on seeding.

Yes water hose. The green bucket is full of water for the two dogs.

Good stitching, Eric.
Picture took a long time to load, but well worth the wait.

I have a program that stitches too, but the finished product comes out with curved edges. How do you get yours to result in a nice rectangle? What program do you use?

The program I use is Camedia Master, which is the software that came w/my Olympus camera.

I have "Microsoft Picture it, Photo premium 9". It doesn't have the stitch feature. What I did was, make a copy of one photo and pasted it along side the other. Then wiggle around a bit and resize until they match. Then save the the new photo. After saving, I crop the photo to square it up. Save again. Is this clear as mud??

It's not perfect. See the line in the photo.

Your explanation was clear. That took a lot of patience and a good eye to match the edges.
