Sunshine Rain

| When I was a child in North Dakota, if my German grandmother saw rain falling in the sunshine she always said, "The devil is beating his wife". Years later in New Mexico I heard a Native American woman say "The devil's wife is crying" during a sunlit rain. I've never heard anyone else call it anything. It's pretty and I've always liked it. Besides all that, we desperately need the rain so it would have been nice, no matter what you want to call it!

| We always just called it a "sun-shower." I have heard it called the Devil's tears. Nice photos, and a beautiful solarium!! Kt |

My Grandmother use to say "Rain when the sun shines; rain tomorrow, too."
