Peter: It is a whole other world taking pics like that during the day. My friend is trying to figure that out although he gets some great cloud formations before and after the storms. Nice work. I hope to see more pics by you. Jojo: I have heard the monsoons can be quite dramatic! I have even seen the storm drains dug all around the outskirts of peoples home but never saw them fill up. I can only imagine that. I have seen lightning from a distance and been very frustrated chasing them because the roads there a long and straight with no way to turn down another for miles to catch up to it..lol Been there done that. Have you ever seen lightning drop from the clouds over the prairies or horizon? It must be majestic! It is nice to meet Peter. It is always nice to see new faces. I would never come there without visiting some very nice people here if the offer is there. Going there to see people I know would be so nice. We would have to visit the Indian Reservations though, Saguaro Cactus Preserve, and look for turquoise jewelry..lol I have danced with the Navaho tribes once before! I hope many others come here with nice pictures. I would of loved to have sene the hail storm ones that some here have experienced! Mike

Not protected at all Nancy...that big bed does not even get watered (Except by Rain) and it is in full sun...it is about 100 foot long bed by about 12 feet wide..I keep the "Less Expensive" ones in that bed...LOL Heck the soil is like concrete too...LOL oh well....they enjoyed that brief but extremely hard downpour.....Thank you all again for the very kind comments......:) Here are a few more...of course still just a Kodak Moment....ROTFL...I can't seem to figure out how to transfer the Pic Files from the Nikon Program to photo bucket...oh well....maybe tonight I'll get "Lucky"..;) Kodak says: A Nice one that Jan was very nice to share with me....gotta appreciate the kindness....Thanks Jan..it's Purdy! I do the same thing! I've taken as many as 300 pics before coming to my senses. A few are always delete-able, blurry, etc., but then going through the remaining photos becomes a chore. Once again, Nice Photos! Kt

Festusbodine - thanks for the link to your blog. Wowzers! You've got a BIG project on your hands! I won't complain about my humble kitchen remodel anymore.... Seems as though you either LOVE the idea of light counters w/ dark cabs or HATE it. I received a comment on another thread I started about our adventures in cabinetland...I mentioned the counters/backsplash and also asked for honest opinions. One person (OK, several...) strongly encouraged me to rethink the light/dark combo - and consider a darker counter (such as soapstone). I LOVE soapstone! (LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!) But, I'm concerned my galley west-facing kitchen will be dark most of the day if we go w/dark counters...(Lighting should be more than adequate - pendants over windows, lots of recessed lights, undercabinet lights)...but still concerned and don't want a dark kitchen....(We originally wanted a white Christopher Peacock-like kitchen, but that wasn't in the cards.) I like the contrast. I don't like the busy-ness of granite. For about a minute, we considered Formica 180FX, but I think their samples are WAAAAAY too busy....I like the simple white counter with a little activity (if you get close). I think it looks contemporary and clean without totally committing to a contemporary look. Wow. I need more coffee this morning, as this post seems rather confusing.... Suzanne
