Dark smudge on picture

| I am using a HP Photosmart 320 camera which is probably 5 years old.It always took ok pictures but now every picture has a dark smudge usually near the top of photo.Any idea what causes this? |

It could be that the image sensor needs cleaning? Konrad |

| Thanks, for your input. I doubt if it's worth fixing so guess it's time to look for a new camera. |
