Healing Brush

I am too poor to afford Photoshop, but I have had good results with the clone stamp and healing brush for imperfections. I found an ok clone stamp with the new paint net, but there is no healing brush. I guess it's a new thing that needs time to come out in the free version. If you use the clone stamp first, then use the healing brush you can blend away your corrections, for a natural look. Does any one know about a free program with a healing brush? I can't answer your question except to suggest Photoshop Elements, which costs a fracton of the full-size program.

I looked at that on Amazon. Only 65 dollars. That is in my budget, but I wonder if it has the healing brush. I would get it if does have a healing brush. I see I can do a trail version, but then I won't have a disc. I rather have a cd then a download.

From the smallest weed to the largest stump, the only correct time to apply herbicide is when the plant is actively growing, and to a surface that will absorb the solution (e.g. freshly cut wood cross section on stump). When I cut down a tree, I apply undiluted 2,4-D immediately to the top of the freshly cut stump with a brush. If the tree is in a period of rapid growth (i.e. springtime) the stump will rapidly absorb the 2,4-D syrup, allowing several applications. Always wear nitrile or rubber gloves, as 2,4-D is much nastier than glyphosate. Although this method is "safe", if the herbicide label does not list stump poisoning as an approved use of the product, the company CANNOT legally give advice on this particular use of their product. They will get in big trouble. You could also, so you must do it carefully. Notice that every label starts with " It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with this label." P.S. 2,4-D contaminated brushes can be neutralized in a (fairly dilute) solution of sodium hydroxide and water.

This may be my answer to dark spots (aka, age spots) on the backs of my hands. I've tried so many creams over the years I could have bought a couple of laser machines with the $$ I spent. I've heard of Hand Spa but cannot find a salon that has one. I think that may be laser, but I'm not sure.

I buy it by the gallon also. My mom use to use it all the time, but me being of the 60's generation or maybe I was just not smart back in the day abandoned vinegar and used store bought cleaners and such that my mom used vinegar for. I came back full circle when I got wiser, in my mid thirties..I think that is when I realized mom wasn't so dumb after all. LOL

ORB lanterns with brushed nickel hardware?

I don't know f I did it successfully, but I did it. My kitchen is open to the great room and dining area, and I wanted ORB light fixtures and window hardware in those rooms. I don't really like ORB for cabinet hardware, so I went with brushed nickel, which is what my doorknobs are. This is an in-progress photo with the countertops covered with cardboard, but I have white cabs, dark counters, will have a white/green mosaic on the range wall, and medium white oak floors. Close enough, huh? I think the dark fixtures tie in with the dark countertops and make it fine, but I could be wrong.

Yep - PhotoShop Elements does have the "Healing Brush".

I have Elements 5.0. I think 6.0 is the newest version. Sometimes you can get older versions cheaper.

I really don't care for PhotoShop, but there are a lot of resources for it and PS Elements on the internet, so it is a good choice. I am sure you can get an inexpensive disk on eBay.

I looked at ebay, but it was not that cheap there. Amazon has a deal where it is cheaper, due to a rebate it only comes to 54 dollars. Abode sells it for 99 with the same rebate. I know amazon will take it back, and give full money back. However, many people on Amazon reviews said elements 6 won't work with vista. It has many bad review on Amazon, so now I kind of have cold feet. But, I think Paint net, (the free program) will maybe add a healing brush soon, if I wait. I don't know, because it's not that much money, so maybe I should just get it now. Digital photos enhance wrinkles so they seem worse in the photos then in real life. I just got a new Fuji Film camera so I am on a spree.

I got the photoshop express, and it works with vista. I am very happy with it.

Thanks for the follow up bug girl.

I use the freebie, Picasa. I like it more than the free version Adobe put out recently. What does Elements do that the free stuff Picasa gives you doesn't have? Any idea?
