Yes, Topaz is a lot of fun. My DS and DIL gave it to me for Christmas. HDR stands for High Dynamic Range--the goal being for the lightest and darkest parts of a photo (and everything in between) to show up with equal intensity. (That's over-simplifying it, but it's the best I can do.) You can do this to a degree with Topaz, but the more ambitious photographers take several exposures of the same subject and then blend them together. I wouldn't be surprised if Nicole's DH has done this. (Nicole?)

NYC skyline. We were moving my father-in-law from Florida to Massachusetts, in a moving van with a car-trailer behind. Right after snapping this picture we had to cross the George Washington bridge, where the normal toll is $12, but for us with the truck and the trailer it was a whopping $53 to cross one measly bridge.

The restaurant "Passion on the Beach" at the Amsterdam Hotel in Aruba. One must get there early (if you don't have a reservation). As the sun sets, you are on the west side of the island, you get a great view. When it is dark, it is difficult to see the menu unless they provide one with a back-lit LED light. It is prudent to remove you shoes.
