Need help with my old power shot Cannon.

When I post this you will realize I am camera
illiterate.I have a Cannon power shot A720 IS camera that I have just used to point and shoot and it worked fine for what I wanted. However, one day I decided to experiment and I have icons all around the screen and a + 1/3 on the bottom and don't know how to remove them.
I need help, please !
Lois

There should be a re-set setting on this camera, perhaps you can find
out in the manual, it would basically go back to factory setting....see what happens.

Thanks folks,
Believe it or not I took it to Walmart and they got it re-set except for the + 1/3 so I' ll see how it works now.
