Gardening with Ducks

I can't stick a shovel in the ground without have ducks at my feet. When ever I'm shoveling, raking, tilling her they come. It's funny watching them race accross the orchard. Every little bug, grub, worm gone in seconds. To bad they don't leave the worms. Here's a picture of the ducks after tilling the new strawberry bed.

I see in the second picture, I still have a bunch of stuff to get rid of.

Very good pictures Eric. Just think of all the free fertilizer your getting.

They sure are tame.

They are tame to a point. If they are really hungery you might be able to touch them. Most of the time they quack and run away.

Sooo funny, Eric. They remind me of cows at a feeding trough.

Joan,

No, not to mislead anyone. They are domestic ducks. Khaki Campbells. Good for slug patrol and eggs. I have twelve ducks and they lay about 9 eggs a day. There not pets but not wild either.
