Moon Holding Water

The moon is 'holding' water...which is supposed to mean rain within the next few days.

If the moon were 'pouring' water, that means it will rain very soon.

Venus is also in the photo.

Nice picture! I never heard that expression before...Moon holding water. It must really be true because we got about an inch and half of rain yesterday and more to come today.

You did it again. I was hoping when I saw this that you would get a picture of it. You did an excellent shot this time. We had a thunderstorm this morning.

Shaving cream and shaver stays in the shower. Mirror is overrated. My face looks the same every day, so I don't need a mirror. I just memorized where I put my nose, my ears, and my mouth :-) Seriously though, I do realize that this is a personal choice. For myself, I can't think of any better option. I hate when I occasionally need to shave at a sink when travelling. It's always so messy. But I do realize it takes a little getting used to, when you first learn how to shave in the shower. Also, it helps that we designed our shower niche to have dedicated storage for my razor and for the shaving cream. I could see how things would be annoying, if you can't figure out a solution for that. But if that's your main issue, you'd think that there should be a way to fix this problem. There are lots of shower caddy systems; some better than others.

Two Tanks Holding Water for No Apparent Reason

My parents have a septic system, and I know that they do have a tank that holds water but the smell is unbearable, and it does have a lid. If this is just plain rainwater, I cannot imagine that it's part of the initial septic run. It might be an overflow area. If you remove them and the lines are running to that spot with no new provision for overflow, you could have a problem. Can you get a pump and pump the tanks dry before drilling into them? Seeing the bottom might give you more insight. A small pump isn't that expensive, or you could rent one.

Trip Lever Tub Won't Hold Water

My bathtub would neither hold water nor drain properly. I used silicone grease on the plate, which freed up the lever, and replaced the weighted drain assembly inside the pipe. I also adjusted the assembly every length possible. My tub drains properly now, but still won't hold water. I would really appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Well, we did have rain yesterday...Now I'll think of that when I see the moon as thus...I second Joan's remark...Love that windmill with moon...

In this photo also, the moon is 'following' the sun setting.

REMEMBER: The rounded part of the moon is always the side where the sun is shining on it. If the rounded side is to one side as it sets, that is the direction where the sun is at.

Thats the one. The first moon I saw was half full at the bottom. Two nights later it was half full at the top. After that it was full.

You must have seen it at different times of the day for it to do that, such as just after dark, then just before dawn.

The moon increases from 'no'(new) moon to full moon in two weeks, then it goes back to 'no' moon in two weeks. So, each night starting at new moon, the moon gets increasingly larger until it's full moon in two weeks, then it gets decreasingly smaller each night for two weeks when it disappears or becomes a 'new' moon.
