Will, I have 390 conifer varieties at this moment, but the fence is for my two young dogs....:) Smivies - this garden is a "temporary storage" for my conifers... In my garden now is "Big Transplantation":) All hardy plants I relocated to my meadow (3ha) in zone 5. All sensitive plants for zone 6 will stay in the old little garden. I start to plant my new garden this summer - Here are some plants from my old little garden too. And I have enough space finally, what a joy!:)

You have a great clump of Custard candy! I really like Foolish Kisses, such a bright pink. Your seedlings are nice too, I rather like the recurved one actually. All lovely pictures, thanks for sharing them!

In the very first shot I posted above are all adult males . I took that photo on july 7th and then those males moved on . So contrary to what a lot of people think the males which always leave first start the move on Many people think migration doesnt start till mid august , mid august is in my opinion would be peak migration, the time when the count is highest. Then everything is downhill from there , at least thats how it happens in my location.

This is all just lovely. I really enjoy it when people post tours of their gardens, particularly pullback shots where you can see more than just a couple of plants in combination. I am not in New England but I often read the New England Gardening thread just because of the running photo threads there! Your combos with the astilbe and the eryngium are particularly wonderful.
