Can you explain how these phenomenon can happen?

| Good pictures. I think these are called Sun Dogs. We see them down this way once in a while, too. I don't know how to send a link to a web site, but just type 'sun dogs' into your browser and you will get explanations of them. |

Konrad, I just learned about sundogs not long ago... See-I have learned...Now to see that pic of Eric's version could confuse me...LOL Hi Gmom and Doris! |

Great pictures, up here in the frozen northland (Minnesota) we see sundogs when it gets very cold, as in well below zero. I understood that they were caused by ice crystals in the air. Ron |
