Good News - I potted my two 'Candy Festival' rhizomes. I used a high grade soil and placed it in bright light. Growth has been decent and I am happy. I decided to plant them in the ground. When I pulled the rhizomes out of the pot I was surprised by how much the rhizome had increased in size. Bad News - I had to go out of town last week and it froze over night. I was not at home to cover them for safety. I lost all growth on one rhizome and the other only has freeze burn on the edge of the foliage. Only the foliage was affected by the freeze. I checked the rhizomes and they seem healthy enough to keep trucking ( fingers crossed ) The 'Pink Sunburst' rhizomes are toast. I will order some from Hughs Water Shop (?). I have seen good reponses from people that have purchased from them. Zitro_Joe

Boca Joe I have not been on this forum so much, but somewhere or other have noticed your name before. Today I looked over your postings of trips to Florida. So enjoyable. I live there half a year and have seen some of what you have shown. How you photographed everything and wrote about it, so well written and fun, really makes a great impact. I would like to show your work to some friends, and am not to computer literate. How would I go about doing so? And would that be okay with you? Diane

LeapingFrogLady...can I please please please get one of those hibiscus plants? I have toying with the idea of tomatoes, I would love to get one of those toos. As for vegetables from me; I have some Purple Tomatillio seedlings that came up last week. still small but should be transplant size soon. Nasturtiums can be used an herb (real spicy). I tend to throw them in my salads to liven it up. I have plenty of those. Columbine seeds just germinated this week as well. I have a list of more stuff locate up top. The D90 kit lens is great, my only knock on it is the platic mount, but you'll get that on any kit lens. The video on the D90 is nothing to write home about. I rarely, rarely use the live view, so I find no interest in one that tilts. To me that would be a waste. but you might find it handy. I think you be happy with either one, but you did list more Pros for the 90. I have never used the D5000 so I can not compare the low light ability, but the D90 is nice.
