I went for a walk along the river and saw these Ice Flowers. They generally bloom this time of year.

I love this. Everyone else must have this figured out and I don't. :) How does this happen? Does the river rise and fall?

Hi pfmastin.

The river didn't rise or fall. Back in December we had 16" of snow one day and the weight of the wet snow made the bush bend. Then as the temps rose the bush was able to spring back up a little bit. Then when more snowfall came it did the same thing. Kind of like trying to make candles.
