Thanks, glad ya'll liked them.

As to how, well, I suppose step one is to have a slightly drafty north window. ha. The frost crystals formed on it during our last cold front/snow.

I thought they kinda looked interesting so I got out my camera, tripod and macro lens.

The difference in background color came from the angle (straight, with snow in the front yard for a background, up with the sky as background, or down, gray).

Those are gorgeous. Really pull the eye in. What specific macro lens do you have? I've been piddling around with the idea of getting one. Are you happy with the one you have?

Sorry I kept forgetting to reply mongoct.

I have a Tokina Macro 100 F2.8 D. I have fun playing with it, though the depth of field can be a little tricky. It is my first macro lens, so, I can't help much with comparisons.
