Well, the vet saw her and checked her out a few weeks ago and thought everything was good, He did the TB and brucelosis tests and of corse they were both negative. I think it is coming soon, I think it is simply that she was a pasture cow that ran with bull and there was no reason for the owner then to worry, or pay attention to breeding just took them as they came. We on the other hand have no other cows and are a little too worried about this one. She wishes we would get a life!! Driving her crazy I think. Well, I guess jerseys are not really thin, but you know their frame work always shows more bones than the beefers. I have to admit I like to look at a fat cow, very well conditioned. I don't want anyone thinking I am starving her. She gets all she wants of hay/grass, and I am now increasing her feed, I have been worried about letting the baby get too big. My suggested we didn't feed her any sweet feed till after the baby, he changed his recomendation when I reminded him that she was going to be a milk cow and was still in training. We keep her on a regular schedule and feeding her in her milking chute is part of her routine. He raises beef cows, likes to see them fat too, but is wary of calves getting too large for easy delivery.

Oh, they are good looking kitties. Dare I ask about the rest? Mine are adjusting to being OutDoorsMen very well. They have ALL learned to climb the fence, even though they are quite aged. I would never have thought a 12 yo would be interested in another yard. They hunt chickens, and lay about. The eldest, male Siamese stays out until rain, or 53* whichever comes first. In clement weather, he stays out nearly 23 hours a day! Your kitties are beautiful. Thanks for the enticing portraits.

Our Walmart had three greeters who were around for years, including a re-location. Within a matter of weeks we lost them to ill health and death. It's now a year after and none have been repaced.

Jerry: Our local paper has a great story about Death Hollow in Utah, today! Three guys took it upon themselves to hike into the hollow! What troubles befell them--hiking in and swimming in ice cold water, rappelling down the canyon walls! They hiked as far as they could, in the canyon, but the deepening, icy cold water told them they'd better get back out and come another day! There is also a half-page picture of one of the guys rappeling down the canyon wall! WOW! What a great place to visit, albeit, by way of newspaper articles. How i'd like to go there, but, with advancing age, and gasoline prices being what they are, I'll have to stick to reading about it! Another man took a trip to the Valley of The Gods! He traveled by way of Utah Rt. 261, known locally as the Trail of The Ancients! He says all was going well, until he came to the road that had been dug out to haul uranium back in the 1950's. It runs from Cedar Mesa down into the canyon. He reports there is a bed and breakfast in the area where he stayed. So, have an enjoyable summer, traveling amongst the Mesa's and Buttes! As for me, I'll stay in our beautiful mountains and flat lands of Pennsylvania, where the flowers grow, and the Bluegrass music flows! Have fun: Rusty Jones
