Mrs Downey looks out on a white landscape

The second snowiest winter on record. Still a few weeks to go so maybe it will be #1.

I have fed a lot of birds this year. Several kinds of woodpeckers. This is a little downey. Very friendly, not as shy as the larger members of the species.

Great picture. I have a red-head that comes to my bird feeder. It has a downturned beek and eating is not easy for it.

Downys are so neat, so little, yet so brave.

I love watching them do their back and forth movement as they move up the post...We also have Red bellied woodpecker who visits, too!

Wonderful photo, Marnie!
