I am terrible at printing photos!! I also don't like the way my computer at home stores photos (don't like the look of it compared to how I was used to saving) and they're pretty unorganized. When DH and I got together we'd always buy cheapy camera and take photos. Photos of places we've been, goofy photos, caught you off guard photos... we have three huge photo albums filled up (in order) and then I got a new digital camera and we just stopped. :( I guess I'm lazy when it comes to digital. The stores that have the little photo maker things are always so busy. Ording online means paying for shipping which can be high if you're ordering a bunch. I have photos on CDs but for some reason I think it makes it more difficult to find and view. Much easier when they're physically right there. I do back everything up now because I once lost all my photos on my computer. Most weren't important but there were some of family and of Sylvester as a kitten. I know people store them online with sites like Snapfish and Shutterfly but what happens if that company goes under or something? I have photos on some of those sites but it kind of bothers me to think they're just sitting there, online. Forever? My family took gobs of photos over the years and had them developed. I loved and still do enjoy looking. I also love a good home video once in awhile. They all bring back fond memories of being a kid. I'll have to come up with a good system/get organized when we have kids since I know we'll take a bazillion photos.

Picture #3 - Your entry seems cramped by the amount of furniture. One piece of the other is plenty (although I'd take down the picture, it isn't necessary) Picture #4 - Remove the treadmill. Remove the flat screen TV. Nothing says we have limited wall space like a TV on top of a fireplace. Picture #5 - Remove the gate. They may be there for children or it may be there for pets. Any suggestion of pets will have people thinking twice about viewing your house. Picture #6 - The blue arm is very distracting. Also, the mirror reflects the living room. You may want to replace the mirror just for a re-shoot, and then put it back up after a new photo is taken. Picture # 7 - Remove the white gate. Remove the pot. The orange color that your counter is painted seems to make the counter super large and the cabinets super small. This makes me think you have limited cabinet storage. Picture #8 - Ummm this picture does you no favors. I'd remove it completely and not attempt a re-shoot. Picture #9 - Why? it is dark, it highlights the gates and it doesn't really show anything. Maybe it is supposed to covey room flow but it actually makes your house seems dark and dingy. I'd remove this picture. Picture #10 - I don't get a feel for the size of your master bedroom from this picture. Picture #11 - Lovely bathroom, too bad the photo is so horrible. It makes the sink area where someone will shave, put on make-up etc look dark. Your picture #12 is much better. It shows a bright sink for shaving, make-up etc. Have picture #11 retaken. Picture #13 was taken too far away from the bathroom. It is too much doorway, not enough bathroom. Have that one retaken. I actually like the $150K price and would not advise you to lower it to $149,900 just yet. Why? You will catch people in two search ranges, both the $125K - $150K range and the $150K - $175K range. If you lower by $100, you will lose the second search range. Now, if you find that you are five or ten thousand dollars over priced, certainly lower the price. But, for $100 you aren't gaining anything and you are losing an entire search category. One of the best ways to know what you are selling against is to go out and view some houses for sale in your general area. Drive by the house for curb appeal and view the inside of the house at Open Houses. You may find that you stack up very well against your competition, or you may find that you are overpriced compared to what else available. When I sold two years ago, I was $10K higher than the house down the street (and we were priced under $100K). I sold in less than a week, that other house took months. Someone might have said I was priced too high (I was actually under priced as it was a divorce sale and I wanted out), but I knew what I was competing against and that my house would sell and sell fast compared to the competition. And, it did.

This is probably legal (they are claiming so b/c they did not trespass to obtain the photo (taken from the street). I'm infuriated b/c who knows who reads this paper (and our home is one of the most expensive so to me it seems that if someone was looking to do something mischievous they now know the expensive homes and where they are located). Chill out! Anyone inclined to do mischief already knows where the expensive homes are in your town. And in the USA, photos taken from a PUBLIC area (street or sidewalk) do not require any sort of permission to take or publish.

gyr_falcon, I would love to be able to spend hours in the nurseries and pick over all the pretties but I'm very much confined to the house and brief times in the yard. I can only get outside if someone is with me...my legs just don't work right anymore. The neighbors probably think I'm an old drunk, the way I stumble and stagger around. :-) Hopefully the doctor is going to get me up and going again in the next couple of months. That's why I really don't mind rolling my office chair up to a low table and working on potting up plants or whatever else needs to be done. Ah, the Golden Years. lol! I used to have beautiful flowerbeds but they have gone to mostly weeds and it breaks my heart. A friend that is a local firefighter has a side business of lawn mowing and that's about he does. Edging, mowing and blows away any debris from the porch, sidewalk and driveway. I have several beds that I plan to have him just mow down and keep mowing until they eventually become lawn again. How about posting some pix of your garden? I would love to see it\them. It sounds like you are very protective of your flora children. :-) Experimentation is the name of the game. I sowed 10yr old Larkspur seeds in a large pot today. Just out of curiosity as they've been in the seed drawer of the fridge so they may be viable. We shall see. I have tons of seeds stored away that will just go to waste and that makes me sad. The one project coming up is planting seeds from my mom's old Hardy Hibiscus. When she died in l999, I dug up the Hibiscus and planted it near the patio and it had done superbly until a late winter storm killed it last spring. Just about broke my heart. Fortunately I had saved seeds the year before it died. Rosie
