I had a Milky Way I bought from Plant Delights online, and then later another I scored at a local garden center that carried unusual plants. The first one I planted outdoors (Plant Delights and I are both big into pushing the zone; it didn't survive the winter). The second one I grew as a houseplant. Or more accurately, I kept as a housplant. It never grew. Granted it was in low light (that's what they're famous for, right?). After a while, it got spider mites and was looking pretty shabby. I didn't feel like fighting the mites, so it went out in the garbage. I see clumps of them outdoors in the south and they look nice. But I don't think I'll be trying one indoors again.

That was a lot of fun Bobby, thanks for finding it! Chocolate waffles with ice cream--yum! Alton was down on the square waffle irons, due to the heat distribution or something, but I like them for toasting. Yes, I know I can break up the other kind. I am very limited with my toaster. It is only big enough for toast made from a small piece of bread. Also the waffle irons I like, that seem to be the most heavy duty for the square waffles, are for the Belgian kind, which I think might not fit in my toaster. Here are the ones I'm thinking about getting: Cuisinart Belgian Waffle Iron Calaphon Belgian Waffle Maker Krups Waffle Chef Belgian Waffle Maker Cucina Pro 1452 Belgian 4 square waffle iron Those were the only ones I could find that seemed to have sufficient electric juice and heavy duty cast aluminum "irons" and also a non-stick finish that didn't wear off. Most of the cheap nonstick stuff I get wears off and I really don't like that, not to mention that the "non-stick" part pretty much becomes non existent at that point. I think they're all going to make too big of waffles though, but I can reheat them in the oven I guess. I'm not really ready to buy a new toaster, and I don't really have much room for one. I really love my retro one, but it is really not good for much else but toast. They do sell a non electric real iron one, but I dunno, sounds like a recipe for me to burn myself or melt something in the kitchen. Maybe someday when I get my dream woodburning stove and I can just shove it around any old where.

There is Charles P. Rogers in New York. They've been around for a 100+ years. Where I live mattress stores are the best place to buy these kinds of beds if you're willing to order from a catalog. The same bed through them will cost much cheaper than if it were ordered through a furniture store. I was quoted $4000 at a furniture store and the same bed was $1000 at the mattress store. The funny part of this was when the designer at the furniture store saw my jaw drop over the price he leaned over and whispered to me that I should go talk to the mattress discount store down the street and I'd be able to order the same bed from the same catalog for 50%-75% less. Thank you, Babka and sheilajoyce, for those explanations of sizing. I didn't know that was added to yarns. Since it looks like I won't be ironing this yarn, I was considering blocking the pieces (according to Anne's or Vickey's directions), but then I wondered what would happen after it was machine washed. Would I be wasting my time with the blocking . . . ? I will post pictures of my pieces later today along with the pattern's photo so you can see that the hexagonal shape of my work does not look quite like the photo.
