Thanks ya'll! =) I'm loving Samba very much. I must note though, that these are "older" bulbs so I'm not sure if Samba is performing to it's full potential? =) Maria, I agree that Samba looks much like Prelude as well. The only difference that I noticed off hand is the upper two"cup" shaped petals of Samba that Prelude does not have. My flowers are 4" across and 4" up-down but I have a feeling that Samba is under-performing because of it being acquired so late into the season. So far, there are two scapes and with the one that is in bloom, there are four flowers per scape. I can't wait to see your pics! =)

Snow in Texas is much more rare than snow in Canada, but I wish I could post a photo of the snow that we've gotten up here. Several days of constant snow and blowing winds, the snow itself in unshoveled areas like the garden, and back of the house, is up past your waist. And that's not saying anything about the drifts created by plows and people shoveling. You can't see around street corners when driving. Parking lots are halved in size by the snow piles. It is unbelievable. We've had record snowfall amounts up here for the past 2 months and it makes you wonder what it going on this year!

Brenda I had it set at ISO 1600 with a 15-30 second exposure. I was playing around with the exposure time and the aperature value so I'll have to check the info on each individual photo to know what was what. Laurie I couldn't hear them, but the pictures didn't capture the colors as well as I would have liked. They were swilrling and dancing with bands of reddish and white but for the most part that is the color they were. Funny because it was really grey and drizzly all day yesterday, it rained some but then it cleared off by dark and this is what was revealed. Just so you know its grey drizzly and 9* again...blech... I have to go out and finish framing my deck (pictures to follow!)
