Unfortunately the critters have learned what the Cuddeback cam means and avoid it no matter where I move it. I set it up on the bank of the pond to get only daytime Wood Duck photos, but still nothing. I thought perhaps the sensor has too short a short trigger range so today I fastened it to a shrub on the bank, in front of Wood Duck tracks. This morning when I removed the SD card from the new HCO ScoutGuard SG550 5MP Infrared Hunting Game & Scouting Trail Camera, although there were wild turkey droppings on the ground in front of it there were still were no photos. I packed it up to return and it's sitting on the porch to be picked up.

He's simply saying I earned my kibble now givittome! Although not having the pesky newbie hanging around doesn't seem to trouble him at all, does it? Pheasant, grouse & partridge hunting were fun. I really enjoyed that but it's many years ago now since I shot holes in the sky. Never got into duck, goose or deer hunting. I like nicer weather. My hunting partner had dogs. We had Muffy with many years then he got Bleu. Muffy had an extraordinary hunting instinct that she took little training and was a fabulous pheasant dog, especially for being a cocker/spitz mix. Not exactly known for great hunting dogs. Then he got that lab/shorthair... No comparison. That thing never learned though in fairness it wasn't taught real well either. I finally split off and took old Muffy and went one way, he took Bleu and went the other and we were going to circle around the pond and meet up. I still remember hearing in the distance "BLEUUUUUUU.... BLEUUUUUUUUUUU..... GET BACK HERE BLEU!!!!" (expletives deleted) And I really believe Muffy understood! Harry is a wonderdog, no doubt. And hey, little Sammy's going to provide fodder for a lot of stories if nothing else! :)

Logan Labs was picked by crowd sourcing. I believe morph was a part of that process where soil tests were sent to several labs to be checked, rechecked, and cross checked. Logan Labs and UMASS were distant winners in the test due to comprehensive testing at a low cost, proper testing procedures and chemistry, accuracy of results, test reliability, and retest repeatability. UMASS lost a close race due to inconsistent repeatability where they tested the same sample of soil and got marginally different answers. That's how I remember it. Can you add to that or clear things up Morph? The main problem with other labs is they don't provide a comprehensive test for all the micro nutrients, that Logan Labs and UMASS do for their most basic tests. If you want all the macros, micros, and organics tested at another lab, you'll have to pay for the basic plus micros plus organics. And then the cost goes up for several reasons and the repeatability goes down, because they're not doing their routine tests any more. They're doing something they haven't practiced a lot. Or it might be different people doing the test every time. Whatever, only two labs passed the high bar set by the lawn community.

From the perspective of photo load, it won't be too much if the plant is conditioned to tolerate the degree of light intensity it receives in that location. Heat build-up in the leaf is another story. They're two different things and light intensity often gets the blame for what rightly belongs heat build-up. To help reduce the likelihood of issues due to passive solar gain (heat build-up), a fan in the room to move air while light intensity is strongest would be very helpful. Al
