What do you see in this picture? Back away from the screen and see if the flames form an image.

Thanks, Konrad. Yep, that's what I see too. I thought maybe I just had a wild imagination. Glad to know someone else sees it too.

I like both of the blue paint colors, they read "masculine" and really bring out the deep jewel tones in the rug. I'm partial to the first one but I'm not sure what they look like IRL, of course. Sorry, I don't see warm tones, or pillows, or baby pictures in this room. I think a stripe in navy blue, hunter green and/or burgundy might be nice for the drapes. I think the hunting prints would be a more interesting grouping if they included one or two matted prints, maybe an old sepia tone, to change things up. I'm racking my brain trying to remember where I saw it, but a pair of round footstool/coffee tables would be more useful and practical than one of either IMO. Ditch the drapes, and the wrought iron piece (love the art poster idea). I'm not sure about the chandelier, I think I would use ivory shades. Maybe a dart game, with the appropriate cork-lined case that would open to protect the walls. A cigar cutter and ashtray on the end table. Brandy snifters and cognac on the bar. I would want a (pocket?) door installed, so that I didn't have to be disturbed by the lions den goings on, that's just me. If the man reads, he'll want a better lamp and a sturdy bookshelf, if he's a music lover, he'll need space for a stereo too.

I'm not sure but it will probably be mixed materials and cabinet colors mixed with wood. On a side note: the house I bought has a kitchen that I would never have picked, very vibrant cherry or lyptus wood (not sure) flat front doors/drawers and a granite that looks like toast crumbs. Well, I have never had a kitchen that was so easy to maintain. In my future move my new kitchen will have flat slab doors/drawers in nice natural walnut on the bottom , a mix of painted cabs and walnut shelves on the top and a countertop that is easy to maintain. Wood on the bottom will be easier with having dogs but I'll have a bit of color on the top. The best of both worlds. The house I buy will have to go with that idea.

Well, for starters, I would move the bed to that other wall. It feels very wrong where it is. The wall next to the closet. I think an upholstered tall bed is called for. I wouldn't cover the pillows with the comforter, and I would choose a duvet or comforter with some color. I would add 2 Euro pillows in front of the sleeping pillow and 3 smaller square pillow in front of the eros that have some color to them. Mix your textures. An area rug would help as well. But that's just my opinion.

Neighbor's house across the street and if I look down, a pile of dying flowers and mud piled up. Have been trying to get my bulbs in, and move the clay soil into the backyard but it's slow going with work and my back not being that great these days...and the rain. Friday managed to dig up all the beds I had planted, put down chicken wire to protect them from squirrels and chipmunks. I'm hoping it's not too cold or wet tomorrow afternoon to finish planting the rest and move the mud into the backyard.

I see the dog, too, when I back away from the screen a bit. But I must be deranged (no comments from the peanut gallery, please) because when I'm closer to the screen I see a skull. The dog's nose is the skull's left eye.

I see a dog and I also see a man leaning over from behind the fire....both shoulders, the side of his face and a hat. The dog's nose and mouth are amazing. Thanks for posting it.

RC, I think that cold weather up there is affecting your brain's funtions, but having said that, now I am looking forward to the cold so that maybe I can see her too!

Thank you, jemdandy, now that you said the dog is running towards the viewer......I SEE THE DOG! I was beginning to think something was wrong with my eyes.....cause I couldn't see it.
