recovering photos

I have a canon digital camera and I used a 256 disk. I took it out of pictures on vacation. Iwent to see my new grandson. When I got home my camera said format error. Is there anyway I can recover my photos off of this Flash disk? I am really upset.

RE: recovering photos

I have a problem at the moment, too, and have been recommended Photo Rescue Professional, but I'm confused about the versions and prices. There are so many out there, I want the best one and am waiting for someone I trust for the answer. If I find out, I'll try to post back.

Here is what I'm planning to try

Recommended by a photographer whose work I admire, we've chatted a lot. The forum is acting up, so I'll be brief.

Here is a link that might be useful: Photo Rescue

I've had success recovering files from damaged drives and memory cards using R-Studio.
