| I took this photo tonight of the moon which will be the brightest one for this year 2010. Here's a news clip about it.
And I'm pleased that we had a clear sky here in Canary Islands so I could get this photo:
As I don't yet have a telephoto lens for my SLR, I used my Olympus SP-560 UZ point and shoot set to Manual(M), f/4.5, shutter 1/160, ISO 50, using a tripod and the self-timer.

| Fabulous photo, Sharon. I noticed the extreme brightness of the moon last night here in North Carolina, USA. :) And now I know why. Thanks for posting! Pam |

| I just thought it was because it was a full moon. What a great picture, Sharon!! I was thinking it might be fun to try to take a picture of the full moon. It's in the teens here, though and I'd have to do it in a hurry!!! |

| Funny, I hadn't read about its brightness, but, it caught my eye last night so I ran out to try to catch a little of it. However, like Murraysmom, it was in the teens so I tried a braced shot rather than setting up a tripod. Nigh pic. Bad idea of course, But, with the thin wispy winter clouds rolling past the knarled branches of a couple of locust trees I shot it through, it made for a kind of eerie pic anyway. Of course, when I downloaded it this morning I really regretted not getting the tripod.
