I have a nice musk rainbow that is about 7' tall in my backyard. It is by far my favorite plumeria! I have two cuttings that I am working on rooting now. They should be ready to go in a few weeks. We had a large (40-50 ft tall) old and with a lot of dead branches privet tree pruned down substantially yesterday, so now we will be doing a lot more moving of large climbers off of where they still are on our house and into that garden. Pax, Belle Portugaise, Reve d'Or, and a mystery buff colored old tea, for starters. In fact, we have decided to put some of them beyond the back fence of the new garden on new large structures, because Belle Portugaise, for instance, insists on getting 15 feet tall before it will bloom, and needs more space. It does not need a deer fence, b/c our deer do not climb ladders! Jackie

Not a very good backdrop for it against my deck. I think the earlier blooms had a bit more color. Hakuna Matata and Isabelle Rose have bud counts similar in mid 30s. That is much less than last year's counts where Hakuna M had top 3 counts of 55, 49 and 46. Isabelle had one with 48, others were just in upper 20s though, so probably averages out better. Nice to have such good bloom now. I hope the plant does not tire itself out.
