Hi,
I dropped my Pentax Optio camera and cracked the LCD Screen.
Does anyone know if it is worth fixing and if so any idea where to go to get it fixed?
I really like this camera.
thanks
Cherie

We have become a disposable society with many things, electronics is no exception....it is almost always a better idea to get a new one.

My daughter dropped her olympus and cracked her screen. She sent it in to repair. Back to olympus. They won't fix it until they speak to you on the phone. They could not replace the part so they mailed her a new camera.

WOW....thats service....unless you bought an extended waranty in which case you paid for it.

Last year I tried all over my city to find a camera repair shop. There was none. All I could do was send it back to Kodak with $181 to have it fixed. After awhile I fiddled with everything on it and it started working. Yes, they are disposable. I'll never buy another expensive one.

My daughter didn't have the extended warrantyA screen is hard to fix and in most cases the company can't so they give you a new camera. It can't hurt to try.
