Helen I think you're right about my mystery flowers being Spring Beauty. Thank you! If I planted that, I've forgotten. I planted Jane five years ago and I'd guess that it's 6 to 8 feet tall now and still not blooming heavy enough to call it showy. It gets some competition from a Tulip tree so it might be doing better by now if it was planted in a better spot. I'm ashamed - I finally broke down and bought the Canon that has a 50x zoom lol. I got a good deal on it. Best Buy matches some dot com prices now. Amazon is one and they had the lowest price so I showed them that price at the register at Best Buy and they matched it. I also had reward zone bucks to take off of the price plus another 20 for applying for a BB charge card back before Christmas so it got the price down to 340. That's more than I intended to spend but I still had some Santa cash and I "needed" a good camera. : ) It seems to be working great for macro or zooming either one, but if the camera is zoomed all the way out, it's difficult to keep the subject centered. If you move the camera even a little, you've lost sight of it. I haven't messed around with macro much yet but this one is of buds on my Mohawk viburnum and the lens was very close. I need to try it out on some bugs or butterflies.

Caudex1, Sure can, we went to a retail store and looked at both Nikon D80 and Canon 40D, seriously considering either one. We have 2 other Canon cameras so my DH was leaning more towards that one. I was leaning more towards the Nikon as my sister has one and I knew she gets great photos from it. Like I said the Canon was heavier and a little bigger, it had more menu options on the dial, not sure what they all were. We took photos from both and through the lcd screen, the Nikon looked like it captured the truer colors. My hair was a little yellower with the Canon, my hair is not that yellow. They let us print out a sample from each camera. The Nikon, the colors were more true and the sharpeness was better, more of the photo seemed in focus. The Canon, I liked my face colorings a little better(not so red) but my hair was yellower and the surroundings were not as sharp as with the Nikon. The Canon had an image stablizer but the Nikon did not. Also the Nikon was $ 300.00 cheaper.

You might try calling the company! Few years ago, I bought my son a small pocket digital camera (Sony something or other). Couple of weeks after he got it, he had it in one of the pockets on his shorts. He took those off to go to bed and they ended up in the floor (it's a guy thing..lol),forgetting the camera was there. He got up the next morning and took a step and heard CRUNCH! He knew right off what it was. Sure enough, the LCD screen was cracked...camera still worked. Anyway, he called Sony and they told him where to send it. He did and they fixed it good as new and sent it back...NO CHARGE! He eventually got another camera..and I'm using the one he broke. It'd be worth a phone call to find out before you buy another one.

Houzz certainly liked my regular photos just fine, I even went above the limit of 10 in one comment section. Every picture I post from my phone, except the 2 I got posted, are turned sideways and I can't work out how to correct it, or why only those 2 I got posted weren't turned. Thank you Sherry. Yes, I think I will really appreciate Sailor Sky since it is a late, and I don't have a lot of lates, and several I do have don't bloom well or long.I really need more very lates, but I don't want more yellows or orange, and it seems so many very lates are that. I wonder if your Tall Dark Stranger will be purple for you, Celeste. I would probably like mine if it were more purple than red, you know how I love purples. I told you Bird Talk has scapes. Well my visiting grand-dog barrelled through it, and literally chopped off one of the fans. I thought at first a deer had come through and chomped, but the foliage and bloom is lying on the ground. You have to know with the other daylilies all around, it is the one I am waiting on. I still have 1 scape though. Brad, thanks for confirming that. Last year I could not find the tag on either of them. Tags always mysteriously disappear for me. I struggled with them last year because they looked very much alike and I could not tell from pictures. This year they look different. Isn't it funny how the bright colors seem to be very vigorous growers and bloomers? Brave World has done well here for the last 2 years after I threatened it. Debra, I forgot to bring your attention to Lavender Stardust after you mentioned Motown Blues looked like it. Here Lavender Stardust, at least this year, is closer to the color of Hush Little Baby than Motown Blues, at least the Motown Blues you saw. I thought I had taken a picture of Lavender Stardus, but can't find it now.
