Sunset Celebration VS Tahitian Sunset
Comments (23)I have all three of those (Sunset Celebration, Tahitian Sunset and Valencia). Valencia is my fav of the three, but it is slow to establish, as has been said. But once established, it has enormous very fragrant blooms of a really unique gold-peach color. It's also slow to repeat, but oh so worth the wait. Sunset Celebration is kinda blah, normal, as roses go. Nothing too exciting about it. Nice flower for cutting and it holds indoors. But not too much in the scent department. I tried to replace it once with a rose called Scent-sation, which is the same color but supposedly fragrant. NOT! Don't go there. Scent-sation is a disease magnet with much smaller flowers than Sunset Celebration and also, no fragrance in it that I can detect. Why someone had the nerve to call it "Scent-sation" is beyond me. Tahitian Sunset is also okay, but the form of the flower is a little loosey goosey for my taste (and actually I think they blow faster than Sunstruck flowers). Sunset Celebration has more hybrid tea-ish form, while Tahitian Sunset acts more like a floribunda. Tahitian Sunset is also a quick repeater, but I don't consider it a cutting rose for bouquets. It's more of a garden color splash, mostly orange. I haven't had terrible disease issues with any of the three, but I do spray reasonably regularly. Kathy...See MoreSunset horizon rose

Comments (33)Kate, there are a lot of rhubarb brownie recipes on the web. I was thinking about them what you said about the chocolate. I was looking for something like my banana "brownie" recipe which uses white chocolate. Rather than reinventing the wheel, because I can't imagine a straight substitution of rhubarb for banana, I found a recipe along those lines, which I hope to make tonight or tomorrow. I'll let you know once I've gotten a good result (no need to waste more rhubarb!) Meantime, I had found a couple of custard recipes, and was trying to squeeze the makings between work-type stuff and dinner, the crustless one, but I was rushing, and when I saw that this recipe called for a crust, I didn't remember that I had a different one. They're very similar, so I think they have a common source, or one inspired the other. The crustless one reads like impossible pie. The crust one has half the flour. Anyway, I just made the crust one without the crust. This is the recipe. I scanted the sugar by a quarter and it's still quite sweet. Next time, I'll try 2/3 of what it says. I also measured the ingredients by eye, except the rhubarb. The custard is only two eggs worth, but it was sufficient, since the pint is just to hold together the rhubarb. Anyway, we think it's fantastic. Quick and easy and very rhubarby. The orange zest and juice just enhance it. It is a little wet crustless, since there's so much water in rhubarb. A nice crust to soak it up might be nice... But it's so good as is, as more of a pudding than a pie, I see no need to "fix" it. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchen/rhubarb-custard-pie-recipe-2107834 This is the one I was supposed to be making (and posted first as a couple of following posts attest): https://www.kitchenfrau.com/crustless-rhubarb-custard-pie/...See MoreWhy Are There So Many Bathrooms in the Houses on Selling Sunset?
Comments (19)I get bathrooms to bedrooms to an extent. But excess is just money. Kitchens and bathrooms are always reliably more expensive than other rooms. Kitchens have been doubling for a while too. Couple sinks, couple ovens, couple fidges, coolers, freezing drawers. Couple islands worth stuck into one. Cooking vs show kitchens. There are of course some more mundane reasons to have doubling, but a lot of it is just design to spend more money. Excessive bathrooms are design doubling to spend more money. Show bathrooms like there are now show kitchens in some homes. It's smart business from a sales standpoint. It can be difficult to start a trend of excessive wants are actually desirable needs- but if that ball can get rolling it can generate a lot in sales....See MoreArtisse
