Viola - I do use the door every once in a while. The basement stairs are right there so if we bring in something large to store in the basement we will use that door to make life easier. However; the tip for the light is great. Looking at the house everyday; I actually forgot it was there. I will take that down. We also will be changing that door. No storm and it will be painted the same color as the siding. Karin - Your right. I'm actually starting the garden bed first because when we pull up those front hedges and expose the front of our house I would like to have something nice for my neighbors to see. I would like to extend the garden. Unfortunately I have to hold off till my loving husband excepts the face that he will need to bust up that old walkway/sidewalk thing. For now my new garden bed actually meets up to the walkway in a to be continued state.

I have tile floors in my kitchen and I like them now but sometimes I wish I had gone with wood because I'm afraid that in a few more years the tile will look dated. I think that is a problem with tile. It dates fairly easily. I chose a slate look alike although it doesn't have as much variation as the slate in the above pictures. But, I think with tile regardless of what you pick it will date whereas wood is always classic. And, to me it seems like a huge effort to replace tile (although maybe I think it is a bigger deal than it is) I think wood with wood cabinets might be much though and would maybe choose painted cabinets over stained. Also, if you get the tile, I do highly recommend installing radiant floor heating if you can. It cost us a bundle for a hydronic system but it is so worth it in the winter when I walk in there in socks and can feel the heat on my feet! An electric system is much cheaper to install, but costs more to run so I guess it just depends on what system you will have in your home to begin with. Good luck!

"One of the versions"? You mean an older version as opposed to the current version? Well, I use Photoshop a lot and it's my favorite, but I also use it in the work I do for a living. If you can't (or don't want to) buy Photoshop, then you might be better off going for a program like Paint Shop Pro. I am a little out of the loop as to what PSP will do vs. Photoshop Elements will do, but last I knew, PSP would do more. Elements is a sort of lite version of Photoshop, with many things either missing or disabled. There are fans for both pieces of software out there, though, which means you'd be able to find work-arounds to get everything you want to do, done. Have fun whatever you decide!

I once replaced my brother's stepdaughter's photo with a photo of my brother in law in a family portrait for my mother. My BIL had taken most of the photos and was in only one, and I had to take him from that photo to put him in the other photo. However, if anyone looked closely enough, they would have noticed that he had two left feet, as I did not have a photo of his right foot. Here's a photo of my brother and me at a low water crossing at Sycamore Canyon: I took the photo of him, and then he took the photo of me, and I combined them. This would have come out better if we had taken the photos from the exact same place, but my brother did not stand exactly where I told him to. Anyway, if you still need it, I could probably help you. I do not have a full version of Photoshop on my laptop (which is what I am using here in Cathedral City), but I do have it in L.A. However, I will not be there until after Jan 8.
