Anxiety or Attention??

Situation - A year ago our lab died of cancer. Both our dogs have always been crated. However since our lab has died, our other dog is getting out of his crate. He has broken four teeth now. We have tried doggie Xanax, four different crates. We were to the point of leaving him out. He was fine for a while until recently, he is destroying everything, clothes, baby toys, anything that is mine or my childs. He hasn't destroyed anything of my husbands. We have started putting everything up and doors have been shut. Now he is getting everything off tables. What do we do? Crates don't work, we tried retraining him, I am out of options. He is 10 years old and I cannot afford anymore destruction of my home.
