Mine looks like the one in the link below. The reason I like that design is because it's easy to hold and one side of the light is covered.......a safety feature IMO since it blocks the light from your eyes.
I looked at some of the lights that are now available and they're really small, which may be why some people are unhappy with them. I think you'll get better results using a larger bulb with more wattage.
Just a warning: don't freak when you first turn it on and see all the little things that are in your house and on your floor!

For cleanup, I always use an enzyme made for removing pet urine, such as Natures Miracle. I've never had to worry about damage to my rugs & carpet when I use those products.
