 o
protein in cats right eye

My cat's right eye started to get cloudy at the bottom. I took him to my vet who informed me it was protein leaking into his eye. He is not an eye doctor and said he couldn't do anything. The closest vet I can take him to is three hours away. Is this something that might stop leaking or will he go blind? Thanks for any advice.

There's really no way to know until a veterinary ophthalmologist examines the eye.
Are there any vet schools nearby?

Why not call the other Vet and ask? It may be that time is of importance and the other eye could have the same problem if this one isn't treated right away.
It would be helpful to know what causes this.
