I'm not a raw feeder, but what about a swiffer wet mop? You can use it and pitch the cloth then stow it away. I shop at Costco, and their wet cleaning wipes fit the swiffer and are MUCH cheaper than the name brand refills.

That way you know you've cleaned the yuck and can mop regularly weekly or whatever your time frame is.

On another forum I visit, a raw feeder said she sprays with vinegar after they eat, I personally would use bleach. Found what looks like an active forum on Dogster, too.

My dogs have 'eating beds.' These are orthopedic beds about 4 feet by 2.5 feet covered with a slightly larger towel. They each have their own station in the kitchen. As each dog joins the family, they eat in a crate for the first 6 months or so and then transition to an eating bed when they have a solid settle and stay and understand the routine. When eating in the crate, they also has a 3" thick ortho bed with a towel over it. Any juices I would expect your pup to lick up:-) The towels on my dog's beds always look pretty clean. I only change them twice a week.
